About Jacob
Jacob has been our Service Delivery Engineer since August 2023. With a background in technical skills education, Jacob thrived as a teacher (similar to JoAnn before she joined our IT team), imparting his knowledge to eager minds and our often-curious clients.
With a natural inclination towards technology and problem-solving, he made a seamless transition to the field of IT. Jacob eagerly looks forward to making a positive impact on every project and with each Sterling Ideas IT client.
An active learner, he’s been most recently certified as a HIPAA Managed Service Provider (CHMSP) from the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance, Inc.
Outside the Office
When not behind the computer screens, you’ll find Jacob pursuing various interests, including music and woodworking!
What Drew Him into the IT Industry?
He was initially attracted to the field of IT because of its dynamic and ever-changing nature.
The constant evolution and challenges that accompany it fascinate Jacob daily at the office. Add to that, he has a true passion for technology that has played a significant role in his decision to pursue a long-term career in the IT field.

From Dad’s dinner table in 1999 to the conference table in the offices of Sterling Ideas Inc. today, we’ve grown as a family-run business completed by trusted friends. Together, we proudly serve clients from 2 employees up to over 200 as their remote IT department.
